MINIMUM scenario: You have these lab results: 

• TSH
• Free T4
• Free T3
• Reverse T3 

IDEAL scenario: You have all of the above test results and also these: 

• TPO antibody (thyroid peroxidase)
• TG antibody (thyroglobulin), 
• Vitamin D
• B-12
• IRON PANEL: (4 tests): TIBC, Total Iron, % Saturation, Ferritin. 

IMPORTANT NOTE ON TAKING THYROID TESTS: If you take thyroid hormones, you must not take any before the test. You should get tested within 2-3 hours after waking up (no matter what time you wake up)...no food, no supplements, no medications. You can have water, black coffee, or black tea. When the blood draw is done, you can take your medications and thyroid hormones etc.

• Cold intolerance: Cold hands/feet, or just feeling cold all the time, regardless of weather or room temperature.
