At first glance, the idea of writing or saying positive affirmations feels a bit like lying to oneself or self-delusion. I get it - it's awkward and strange at the beginning, but let me try and convince you to incorporate them into your life. Positive affirmations are short, powerful statements that can change your mindset and improve your life (for real). By repeating them to yourself and/or writing them down - you can actually rewire your brain to think more positively and overcome negative thoughts and self-doubt.
